I am a software engineer and earth science expert with a passion for creating innovative solutions in both fields.
Areas of Expertise
Computer Programming
I have extensive experience in writing high performance code in Rust, C, C++ and other system languages; shell scripting, Python, Lua when quick prototyping is more important than runtime performance. Experience with data and markup languages XML, XSLT, JSON, TOML, etc. HTML, CSS, SVG and JavaScript for deploying online or inside a web view.
Most of my coding so far was linked to scientific programming, particularly time series analysis, spectral analysis, format conversion, log file parsing, and sensor interfacing; but I am eager to learn about and apply my skills to other domains.
Earth Science Data Processing
I have dealt with seismic, electromagnetic and other geophysical time series data and am comfortable dealing with them in the frequency or time domains. I have worked with aerial and satellite imagery in the past. Trained in geophysics, geology, physical geography, meteorology, and physics I can help with answering questions spanning multiple disciplines.
